Here are some photos of one of our recently completed Medford projects. This home was purchased by the new homeowner and immediately turned over to our team for renovations. The home was very dated, had a leaky basement and the client wanted to use the attic as a master bedroom. The trick here was the attic had just a pull down staircase and in order to make it living space we had the challenge of adding a stairwell to access it. Stairs can be extremely tricky in old homes as the space required by today’s standards is usually not available in these homes. After multiple designs we finally had something that worked extremely well. The other major issue was the leaky basement. For that we excavated the basement enough to add a bed of gravel and installed a drainage system with a sump pump to keep everything dry. The rest of the house along with the kitchen and baths were all updated. We added some custom built-ins and refinished all the existing floors. The result was a great blend of old and new that maintains the character of this great home with all the modern features.
